Leading up to christmas i thought i would share my Christmas bakes i do every year. These sweets are things i gift and or make for christmas day. It is the time of the year that you can stuff your face with foodie goodness.So first up we have…. *drum roll please*……
BRANDIED CHRISTMAS CHOC TRUFFLES
you will need
- 1/2 cup of sultanas
- 2 tablespoons of brandy
- 200g dark cooking chocolate
- 1/2 cup of condensed milk
- 1/2 cup of mixed chopped nuts
- 1/2 cup of cup of chocolate ripple biscuits crushed
- 200g white and dark chocolate melts. extra for decorating
1/ Start by combing the sultanas and brandy in a medium bowl. Let it stand for 30 mins.
2/ Combine dark chocolate with condensed milk, mixed nuts, biscuit crumbs and sultana mix. Combine well.
3/ Pop in the fridge and leave until firm
4/ Melt dark chocolate ready to cover truffles by placing chocolate in microwave for 30 second bursts until completely melted.
5/Roll teaspoons of mixture into balls and coat in melted chocolate leave to stand until chocolate hardens. Drizzle white chocolate for decoration.
